‘Ōlelo Partners with the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement

September 7, 2011

‘Ōlelo Community Media was honored to partner with the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement (CNHA) on their impressive 10th Annual Native Hawaiian Convention.  CNHA’s mission is to enhance the well-being of Hawaii through the cultural, economic, and community development of Native Hawaiians.  They do that through public policy, community loans, capacity building and leadership development services, and promotion of community-owned enterprises.

CNHA hosts its annual Native Hawaiian Convention during the fall of each year to bring the Hawaiian community and its leaders together.  ‘Ōlelo partnered with CNHA this year to create a video that was shown to the 1000+ attendees of CNHA Board members and partners expressing what CNHA has meant to them over the past decade.  ‘Ōlelo was also present at the event to document participant reaction to the convention and to reach out to the more than 160 member organizations, cultural practitioners, policy makers and stakeholders.  ‘Ōlelo is grateful to CNHA for the opportunity to extend our services to them and to provide information to attendees on how to share their stories through ‘Ōlelo Community Media.
